Get a Little Gold Mega Guide
What’s Get a Little Gold?
Get a Little Gold is a classic idle/incremental/clicker game that slowly reveals more content and new mechanics the longer you play. It’s a long-form game with multiple layers of prestige and upgrade tiers. Despite its simple look, it’s actually pretty deep, with a lot of hidden strategy. So if you’ve decided to master Get a Little Gold and eventually reach the game’s late endgame, this mega guide is the right place to start.
Who’s the author of this guide?
I’m jarofed, the developer of Get a Little Gold. As I’m writing this, I’ve already been working on my dream incremental game for over a decade.
The first version of the game was made in Flash and released on Kongregate in October 2016. Back then, it was a tiny idler with only two challenges that could be beaten in just a couple of days.

Many years and hundreds of iterations later, it now has multiple game modes and challenges. It’ll likely take you somewhere from 6 to 9 months to clear the game’s main content and reach the endgame.
Why I’m writing this guide
Long-term players who stick with the game for years already know every strategy and trick. Newcomers, though, keep showing up on the game’s Discord server asking the same basic questions over and over. That’s why I decided to write this mega guide. It covers all the essential mechanics, tips, tricks, and strategies, and it also explains my philosophy behind the game.
Keep in mind that this guide is a long work in progress, and it’ll likely take me years to finish. After all, my main focus is still developing the game itself, and this guide is a “side quest”.
Events in Get a Little Gold
Currently, there are 6 main seasonal events in Get a Little Gold. You can find the complete list of events, as well as their starting dates, in the Events Calendar.
For most players, the main goal of seasonal events is getting special artifact fragments. If you want to make sure you don’t miss the important fragment, here’s my guide: How to obtain the guaranteed special artifact fragment during the event.
